Lower back pain may be the price of being human and standing upright. A major health problem today, back pain ranks second only to the common cold as a reason for patients to visit a doctor. In many cases, back (and hip) pain is due to overworked and misused muscles that go into spasm. These spasms can be so intense that they pull the spine out of alignment. Muscle spasm associated with lower back and hip pain involves several factors, which may include, posture, repetitive motion, weak abdominal muscles, and stress.
This Restorative Yoga practice is designed not only to relieve lower back and hip pain but also to prevent pain from recurring or even occurring in the first place. Gain a greater understanding of the anatomy of these areas of your body and what is possible to relieve pain and prevent pain in your lower back and hips. Deeply relaxing and healing.
