The Restorative Refresher Day is designed for teachers who wish to refresh their Restorative teaching skills, as well as for those who want to explore and deepen their experience of the Restorative arts. Led by expert Anna Ashby, the day begins with a rejuvenating Restorative sequence. After lunch there will be time to address questions and challenges in teaching, as well as refine the set ups and adjustments through hands on practicum.
By coming together to refresh and upskill, teachers and trainees can ask questions, share ideas and explore new ways of engaging/offering this transformational practice. Dialogue and exchange are vital components of this day, as well as immersive practice to deepen knowledge.
Facilitated by one of the UK’s most experienced senior teachers, the day enables those who have taken a Restorative training to brush up and reconnect with others, while offering a taste for those who would like to eventually take the training to get a sense of what it’s all about. It’s a meeting place for teachers and trainees alike to learn, share and make new connections while supporting nervous system health.
Anna has been studying and practicing yoga for over 30 years and teaching for over 20. As a senior teacher and trainer in the UK, she holds the highest level of certification with Yoga Alliance Professionals in the UK (SYT) and the Yoga Alliance in the U.S. (E-RYT-500 + YACEP).
She specialises in Restorative Yoga, a modern style that supports nervous system health through the healing effects of deep relaxation, breath and present moment awareness. Her book, Restorative Yoga: Power Presence Practice for Teachers and Trainees, released in March 2022, has become the ‘go to’ book for teachers and practitioners serving as an in-depth guide for those interested in the Restorative arts.
