Sunday 17th November Community Cancer Yoga Workshop with Georgie Tilbrook
I am both honoured and grateful to begin holding loving space for all my cancer Warriors out there.
Firstly, my vision for these cancer Yoga and Mindfulness workshops are primarily to bring the community together in a gentle and nurturing way but also to provide the space for me, bit by bit, to begin sharing all the incredible movement practices and mindfulness tools that continue to keep me (mostly) sane and accepting of the challenges thrown my way.
These workshops are not going to be perfect, I will make mistakes and neither am I medically trained as a cancer yoga specialist or trauma therapist of any sort (but I have, however, read A LOT of books on this). I now feel I am at a stage in my healing journey where I have the capacity to hold this space for others. I have taken so much from all my amazing teachers, including F&F, that I feel it’s time to give something back.
Trauma can leave us totally detached from our bodies. This is why I am so passionate about yoga, movement and somatic practices which are so crucial in restoring the mind-body-connection and helping us feel happy, alive and present. I will be going into this with my heart open, always learning, evolving and adapting these workshops to ensure they are as beneficial as can be.
My goal here is for you to leave with softer, more regulated nervous systems…like a big, giant hug.
